About the Podcast
What You’ll Hear On The Show
COMPASS in the Storm is a podcast where people share their candid experiences of the most challenging events that have ever occurred in their lives, and how God was in the middle of it.
My guests come from diverse backgrounds, sharing testimonies that range from witnessing a loved one’s illness and death to experiencing miraculous healings. They have also shared their near-death experiences, struggling with their teenage son’s addiction, and the pain of being hurt by a church they served. Despite the unanswered questions surrounding these difficult experiences, God consistently brought purpose and meaning through the pain and suffering they each endured.

A new conversation goes up the first Tuesday of every month. Here’s the one that’s out now.

Meet the Host
I’m Lana Bach, an author, speaker, podcast host, Certified Grief Educator, and Ordained Minister. I know what it’s like to experience grief and pain. I’ve walked through a divorce I didn’t choose, an illness that defied medical treatment, and the loss of my husband, Steve, after nearly thirty years of love, laughter and ministry together.
Even though I’ve been in ministry since I was 16 years old, there was a time when I questioned God and whether He truly loved me. How could a loving God allow me to be so sick and in so much pain. Why? Then one afternoon, while sitting on my couch, crying out to God in anger, I felt Him ask me, almost in an audible voice, “Lana, why do you serve a God who you don’t trust? That question is why this show exists. Will we ever discover the answers to the questions we ask God during those storms? It’s unlikely. However, hearing real stories of how God has brought purpose through the pain of so many others is my way of offering you hope, encouragement, and strength to get through your storm today!
