Who I Write and Speak For
So many of us have been crushed by the pressures of life thinking God is mad and paying us back for something we’ve done in our past. The truth is that God loves us and wants us to bring our wounds to Him for healing!
Even when we love God with a passion and strive to daily obey Him, there will still be times of confusion and desperation in life that will make us feel like God is silent when we call on Him.
You don’t need someone to explain your pain or tell you to have more faith. You need space to be honest about your true feelings.
I bring messages of hope and healing to strengthen the bruised and broken lives around the world through the love of Jesus Christ our Lord.
Are you experiencing a storm in life that feels like it will never end? Are you angry at God because you don’t understand? Is the pain of loss causing you to doubt God’s love for you?
I write and speak for you!
Lana is one of the best speakers I’ve heard on dealing with the many issues widows face.

Who is Lana?
I’ve been in ministry since I was sixteen years old when God filled me with His Holy Spirit. It created a hunger to tell others about Christ and I began ministering in street outreaches with my church youth group. Over the years, I’ve held various roles in ministry, including youth secretary, drama and mime ministry teacher, youth Bible teacher, pastor’s wife, missionary evangelist, and even a certified travel agent who graduated cum laude from my class!

I married the love of my life, Rev. Steven Bach, and we enjoyed almost 30 years ministering together as pastors, missionaries, and evangelists. The Lord took us on a global journey, leading us to minister in various places, often including Pastor Conferences, Marriage Seminars, and Singles Ministry.
My passion lies in missions and I’ve had the privilege of sharing Jesus with people from all over the world, including Africa, England, France, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, and throughout the United States and Canada. I always look forward to my next outreach, whether it’s at home or overseas.
A pivotal moment in my life was when God miraculously healed me from a fatal illness in 2015. Doctors had given up hope, but God wasn’t done with me yet! I’m planning to write my next book narrating the story of my journey from hopelessness to healing and how it helped me endure the worst trial of my life – the loss of my beloved husband four years later.
I was blessed to be married to the man of my dreams for nearly three decades before God called him home. Truly, that was the most difficult trial of my life, just as the Lord had warned me, just three months prior to Steve’s illness.
Throughout this journey of rediscovering who Lana Bach is now, God has been incredibly good to me and has walked with me every step of the way.
These days I reside in Michigan and am actively involved in my home church, where I teach Griefshare classes. I enjoy continually writing for potential books, meeting new friends at every conference, networking with other authors, speakers, podcasters and learning valuable insights from every one of my podcast guests!

My Journey
1993
I met Rev. Steven A. Bach in the denominational office where I worked, and he’d come through an unwanted divorce too. We both knew the pain of rejection and loss, God brought us together, and that’s when Encouragement Ministries, Inc. came into fruition. For three decades we served as pastors and missionary evangelists, conducting marriage seminars, pastor seminars and church conferences across the United States and in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique and Poland.
2017
I got sick with something the doctors couldn’t treat, and I was angry at God for almost two years. Then during what I can only call a hissy fit on my own couch, I felt God saying to me, Lana, why do you serve a God who you don’t trust? Either I’m God and you can trust Me, or I’m not! Through my tears I confessed my love and trust in Him whether He healed my diseased body or not. My pastors visited me on November 8, 2017, and prayed for me. The next morning, I woke up feeling as if I had emerged from a fog. I sensed that God was working on something within me. Remarkably, I managed to get out of bed and walk down the hallway all on my own, a feat I had been unable to accomplish for almost two years. To God be the Glory!
2022
I lost Steve in February 2022, after thirty years of marriage. For months I couldn’t sleep, and I didn’t think I would ever smile again. I was ordained that May.
2024
My memoir, “You’re Going To Trust Me, Right?”, was published. I wrote it out of my own unedited grief journal.
2025
I became a Certified Grief Educator, and in September I launched COMPASS in the Storm. A guest episode goes up the first Tuesday of every month, and I keep it monthly on purpose, because it really helps me prepare and I don’t want to be rushed. I share scriptural truths bonus episodes in between my monthly featured guest. God has called me to help those who are navigating challenging seasons in their lives, and most of the time that looks like handing the microphone to somebody else.
